Students attend classes in Chinese Studies, focusing on the language, culture, geography, political science, history and literature of China. Out-of-class activities include a one-week field trip to Beijing.

CUNY Shanghai University Study Abroad Program

Program Type: Study Abroad (summer/winter)

Students study at the key municipal university in the largest city in China. Students take two three-credit courses: Business in Contemporary China (taught in English) and Beginning Intensive Survival Chinese (qualified students are placed in an Intermediate Chinese course).

South China: Globalization, Development and Diaspora

This study abroad program introduces students to an important region of China – the Pearl River Delta. It examines the relations of overseas Chinese to the past, present and future development of the region.
