POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
	In order to enhance its pool of candidates for possible teaching opportunities, Queensborough Community College is seeking applications and curriculum vitae from qualified applicants in the disciplines listed below: Art & Design: art history, studio art, photography, digital design (code ART) Basic Educational Skills: basic writing, developmental reading, ESL (code BES) Biological Sciences and Geology: fundamentals of life science, anatomy & physiology, general biology, microbiology, medical office assisting ( a minimum of a Master’s degree required for anatomy and physiology, microbiology and general biology) (code BIO) Business: accounting, computer information systems, management, office technology; appropriate Master’s degree and teach experience preferred (code BUS) Chemistry: introductory, general and organic (code CHEM) both lecture(s) and/or lab(s); Minimum  qualifications Master's degree in chemistry and some teaching experience. Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology: electrical and computer technology, new media technology, telecommunications technology (code ECET) English: freshman composition (code ENGL); master’s and teaching experience required Foreign Languages and Literatures: Chinese, Italian, French, and Spanish (code FORL) Health, Physical Education and Dance: health education: Master’s required, doctorate preferred; physical education: bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred, experience teaching yoga and aerobics (code HPED) History: medieval civilization (code HIST) Library: reference librarian (MLS required, academic library experience preferred) (code LIBR) Mathematics and Computer Science (code MA & CS): Master’s degree in mathematics or computer science or mathematics education preferred Mechanical Engineering Technology and Design Drafting (code MET): Master’s degree in Manufacturing, knowledge of manual machining and CNC programming. Music: music and music electronic technology (code MU) Nursing: medical/surgical nursing (priority); clinical teaching experience required. Limited positions in psychiatric, community, pediatric and women’s health (code NUR) Physics: astronomy and general physics (code PHYS) Social Sciences: psychology, economics, sociology, anthropology Speech Communication and Theatre Arts: (code SPTH)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
	Baccalaureate required, Masters preferred for Adjunct Lecturer positions; Ph.D. or equivalent required for Adjunct Assistant Professor. College teaching experience is highly desirable.
