POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
	The Department of Political Science invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of human rights. Candidates may have expertise in any area of human rights, including civil and political rights, social and economic rights, or other emerging areas of human rights in comparative, international, or American contexts. We are particularly interested in a candidate who can contribute to the establishment and growth of the Lehman College Center for Human Rights and Peace Studies under planning. S/he may also become involved in the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The faculty member will be expected to: conduct research; teach undergraduate courses at all levels; provide student advisement; and participate fully in the life of the College and the University.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
	Ph.D. required; political science is preferred, but other disciplines may be considered.
